Teen Parents

* Little Fish and it's staff does not encourage teens to become parents, but offers support programs to assist them*

 

Our middle and high school programs are offered to teen parents (mothers and fathers) free of charge, and child care services are also available. Payment for childcare is provided through DSS Childcare Assistance program. Students must maintain a B average and volunteer in the center to remain in this program. Parents are encouraged to visit and care for their infant as much as possible throughout the day, assisting with feedings, diapers, and play to support bonding.

 

Parenting classes and group support meetings will be available, along with assistance obtaining birth control to prevent pregnancy.
